By downloading, installing, or using NeuralBlock ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Description of Service

NeuralBlock is a digital wellness tool designed to help users manage addictive app usage through:

• Manual and scheduled app blocking via Apple Screen Time
• Automatic protection that activates when your Apple Watch detects a sustained elevated heart rate while you are at rest (Pro)
• A Game Mode that additionally blocks known gambling websites and apps (Premium and Pro)
• Breathing exercises for impulse management
• Emergency SOS alerts to designated contacts

2. Not a Medical Device

NeuralBlock is not a medical device, therapeutic tool, or clinical treatment. It is a self-help digital wellness application. The app does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Heart-rate readings, risk indicators and statistics shown in the app are informational only, are not a diagnosis of any condition, and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical or psychological care.

3. Subscriptions

• Free tier — Manual blocking, schedules, breathing exercises, and progressive escalation at no cost.
• Premium — Detailed statistics, Game Mode and 1 SOS contact. Available as monthly ($0.99/mo) or yearly ($9.99/yr) subscription.
• Pro — Everything in Premium plus Apple Watch heart-rate monitoring with automatic protection and up to 5 SOS contacts. Available as monthly ($2.99/mo) or yearly ($29.99/yr) subscription.

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars for reference; the exact price in your currency is displayed in the app and on the App Store before you confirm the purchase. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account. They auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

4. Free Trial

NeuralBlock does not currently offer a free trial. If one is introduced in the future, its duration will be stated at the time of purchase, and if you do not cancel before the trial ends your subscription will automatically begin and your payment method will be charged.

5. Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted through Apple's support at reportaproblem.apple.com.

6. User Responsibilities

• You are responsible for selecting which apps to block and configuring your protection settings.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of SOS contact information you provide.
• Blocks are intentionally irreversible. Before a manual block starts, the app asks you to confirm and shows the duration. Once the 15-second countdown ends, the block cannot be cancelled, paused or shortened by you or by us until it expires. There is no emergency unlock. Durations start at 1 hour and increase with repeated activations (1, 2, 4, 8, 16 and up to 24 hours); automatic heart-rate blocks last 1, 2 or 4 hours. Scheduled blocks last for the schedule you set. Do not activate protection, and do not include in your selection, apps you may need urgently during that time.
• Blocks rely on Apple's Screen Time technology. They apply only to the device on which they were activated and only to the apps and websites you selected; they do not prevent access from other devices.
• You are responsible for informing your SOS contacts and obtaining their agreement to receive alert emails that include your name and your message.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use NeuralBlock.

7. Apple Watch & HealthKit

Use of biometric features requires an Apple Watch and granting HealthKit permissions. The accuracy of heart rate and HRV readings depends on your device and wearing conditions. NeuralBlock is not responsible for inaccurate sensor readings.

8. SOS Feature

The SOS feature sends email alerts, on a best-effort basis, to the contacts you designate, when you press the SOS button or when protection is activated. It uses email only; it does not place calls or send SMS or push notifications to your contacts. NeuralBlock does not guarantee delivery or reading of these emails, as delivery depends on network conditions, email providers and spam filters. To prevent abuse, the number of alerts that can be sent to the same contact in a given period is limited. The SOS feature is not an emergency service and is not a substitute for one. If you or someone else is in danger, contact your local emergency services (911, 112, 105, etc.) directly.

9. Intellectual Property

NeuralBlock, its design, code, algorithms, and content are the intellectual property of NeuralBlock and are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NeuralBlock is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

• Failure of app blocking to prevent access to specific apps
• Inaccurate heart-rate readings, or automatic blocks activated when you did not feel you needed them
• Consequences of being unable to access a blocked app during a block you activated or scheduled
• Failed SOS email delivery
• Any damages arising from use or inability to use the app
• Data loss resulting from device failure or app deletion

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the app if these terms are violated. You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your device.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Peru. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lima, Peru.
